Peace of Mind Oracle Card Reading - Guidance

Today I pulled the Peace of Mind card from the Healing with the Fairies oracle card deck by Doreen Virtue.  When I ask for the Divine Guidance for this card, this is what comes to mind:

  • Peace of mind is to not worry and have faith that all will work out in a wonderful way
  • Thoughts and beliefs can cause worry or fear, but they can also cause faith and peace of mind… it is your choice what to think about
  • Change your thoughts to ones that feel better to eventually get peace of mind
  • No matter how something appears, you have the ability to think better thoughts about it so as to achieve peace of mind and healing of situations
  • Focus on your blessings and good things (big or small)
  • Focus on solutions to problems
  • Focus on what you can have, not on what you can’t have
  • Detach from all situations and have faith the best is coming to you; enjoy what unfolds and the journey

How to Hear Your Guidance

The universe, our higher self, our guides are communicating with us all the time through words that we hear or read (thoughts, quotes, books, articles, movies, conversations, etc.).  We see and hear what we are able and open to see and hear.  When we see or hear something that resonates with us, that is a message that is communicating meaning or guidance to us from the Universe, our higher self or our guides.  

Keep in mind however, that what we see and hear will match our emotional state of being.  If we are sad, angry or distraught in any way, we are not going to be able to hear the guidance because negative thoughts will be blocking it.  When we get into a better emotional state by working through the negative thoughts, we will be more open to receiving guidance.

It is important not to suppress our negative thoughts, but to work through them.  When we suppress them, we have not dealt with them and they will keep coming back stronger.  We can work through them by trying to find positive aspects, or better feeling thoughts about them.  Sometimes this can seem impossible, I know.  But even a thought like ‘this too shall pass’, feels better than ‘it’s hopeless’ and that will be a start to feeling better.  The more positive aspects and/or better-feeling thoughts we find, the better we begin to feel and when we feel better or hopeful, we will be open to our guidance again.

When listening to another person’s troubles, keep your heart open and send them love. Lift them up to a high vibration where solutions exist. Do not allow yourself to absorb the other person’s pain or drama, as that will pull you downward and reduce your efficacy as a healer. It’s not helpful to join the other person in their misery. Instead, you help them by pulling them up to a higher vibration. Your high vibrations, peace, and joy are needed by the person in pain, and by the entire world. Avoiding Disappointment

Yesterday I found myself disappointed.  This morning I am reflecting on how I got into that state and it came to me.  I had gotten my hopes up for something and I was not living in and appreciating the now.  I was focused on what I wanted to happen and when it didn’t happen, I crashed.  Mostly, I got attached to what I wanted to happen.

I think it’s important for us to have hopes.  The hard part is not getting attached to them.  How can we do that?  Maybe by having faith that our hopes will come true but sometimes not in the way or time that we expect.  In other words, don’t get attached to a specific outcome and have faith that it will happen in the best way and time possible.  Have faith that when it does happen, it will be better than you ever imagined.

If something isn’t happening that you want to happen, maybe it just isn’t the right time.  Maybe you have some healing to do before it happens, or maybe there’s other preparation that needs doing.  We really don’t want it to happen too soon because then it probably either won’t work out, or work out in the best way possible.  

In my situation, I have been working on myself and feel the time is right, but realize the situation I was hoping for just isn’t the right circumstances.  It can be frustrating when we feel ready, but the right situation just isn’t there.  But I realize this is just a problem with my focus.  I have been focusing on wanting it to happen now, rather than appreciating all that I have right now.  I got attached to wanting it now, rather than having faith that it will happen when the time is right.  So today I will get my focus back on the good in my life now and having faith that when it does happen it will be better than I imagined.  

It is a good thing to have hopes and dreams, but not a good thing to get attached to when and how it will happen.  When we have hopes and dreams and think about them without getting attached to outcomes, we magnetize the right situations to us.  These situations will come to us sooner if we can keep ourselves in a positive frame of mind.

So, dream away, don’t get attached to outcomes and appreciate what you have now and you will see your dreams manifest in wonderful ways!
